What is Argentine Tango?

🐈 Argentine Tango is a complex, intimate social dance born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This improvisational style, known for the close embrace, features dramatic moves like the iconic "gancho" (a graceful hooking of the leg).


Unlike Ballroom Tango, which relies on structured patterns, Argentine Tango is fluid and conversational, characterized by its deep connection, pauses (paradas), and elegant leg wraps (boleos).


You’ll rotate partners, practice technique, and gain confidence in a relaxed and friendly studio atmosphere. Tango dancing is all about rhythm, energy, and community.

Each class begins with a short demo before we break down the steps for leaders and followers—sometimes together, sometimes separately—then bring it all to life in partnership on the dance floor 🪩. We rotate partners every few minutes 🔃 for rapid learning, building confidence in your dance frame and connection, and create a low-pressure, judgment-free environment for everyone.
