West Coast Swing (WCS) Fridays: Classes & Social Dance in Phoenix! 🕺💃 Booking Service Description (2,019 characters): Ready to learn West Coast Swing, the smooth, modern, and versatile partner dance? Join us every Friday night at Fatcat Ballroom for the Valley's premier WCS classes and social dance party! Fatcat Ballroom proudly partners with the GPSDC (Greater Phoenix Swing Dance Club) to host the biggest dedicated West Coast Swing event in Phoenix. This is your chance to learn from top WCS instructors, including GPSDC President and Fatcat team member Tina French, and immediately apply your new skills on the dance floor. WCS Fridays are designed to maximize your learning and social experience, making Fatcat the home of the WCS community. The Details: Smooth Moves, Great Atmosphere When: Every Friday from 7:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Where: Fatcat Ballroom - Phoenix Dance Studio. Easily accessible for dancers coming from Scottsdale, Tempe, and the entire Valley. Commitment: No registration needed. This is a flexible drop-in event. Pay for the sessions you attend! Cost: Non-Members: $15 per class drop-in. GPSDC Members: $10 per class (Enjoy a $5 discount!). Dance Party: Free with any class purchase. (GPSDC memberships are just $25 per year and provide weekly class discounts.) Schedule of Events (Three Stages of Swing!) 7:00 PM – Beginner WCS Lesson: Your essential starting point! Focus on the fundamental footwork, connection, and basic patterns (Sugar Push, Whip, Passes). Perfect for those with zero experience. 7:45 PM – Intermediate WCS Lesson: Challenge yourself with advanced technique, rhythm changes, and sophisticated patterns. This class focuses on higher-level technique to make your dance smoother and more dynamic. 8:30 PM – West Coast Swing Dance Party! The floor is open! Stay for hours of social dancing until 10:30 PM, featuring the best WCS music (Blues, Pop, Hip-Hop, R&B, and more). Community & Confidence Assurances We are committed to making our studio the most welcoming spot in the Valley: No experience? No partner? No problem! We rotate partners in class, ensuring you get practice time and meet new people. Off the sidelines, and onto the floor. This event is structured to get you dancing immediately.
